Türkiye’s National Security Council, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, has issued a strong call for an end to the ongoing conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, urging a return to diplomatic negotiations. The council expressed concerns that continued hostilities could exacerbate regional instability and lead to global repercussions, emphasizing the critical need for diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation.

During the council meeting, broader geopolitical issues were also addressed, including developments in Syria, Iraq, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen, and the Russia-Ukraine war. Türkiye reiterated its support for Syria’s territorial integrity and highlighted the importance of achieving greater stability in Iraq. The discussions underscored the necessity for international action to address violence in Gaza and Lebanon, with a focus on fostering regional peace.

In terms of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the council advocated for restraint and a cease-fire, citing concerns over the impact of attacks on civilian infrastructure. Türkiye’s call for calm extended to Yemen as well, where rising tensions are perceived to be heightening security risks across the region.

The council’s statements reflect Türkiye’s ongoing commitment to promoting peace and stability in the Middle East and beyond, advocating for diplomatic solutions to resolve conflicts and reduce tensions globally.
