Belgium secured a decisive 3-0 victory over Türkiye in the UEFA Nations League match held in Liege on Friday. This result marks Türkiye’s third consecutive loss in the tournament, leaving them at the bottom of Group A1 without a single point after three matches.
Kevin De Bruyne was instrumental in Belgium’s win, scoring twice to give his team a commanding lead. De Bruyne opened the scoring after a smooth exchange of passes with Dodi Lukebakio, culminating in a shot from the edge of the penalty area. As Türkiye pushed forward in search of an equalizer, they struggled to capitalize on their chances. De Bruyne then doubled Belgium’s lead with a stunning curling shot into the top corner.
Romelu Lukaku, who entered the match as a substitute in the 61st minute, sealed the victory by scoring the third goal 15 minutes later. Charles De Ketelaere assisted with a low cross, which Lukaku converted from close range.
With this win, Belgium now holds six points, trailing group leaders France by just one point. Meanwhile, Türkiye faces a challenging road ahead as they prepare to meet Italy on October 5. They will be without key players Arda Güler and Barış Alper Yılmaz, both sidelined due to yellow card suspensions.
